ATI Radeon 9550
Hey guys,
Im just wondering how good this ATI Radeon 9550 is for playing games? 'Cause im not a real big techie guy. I've had it in there for a fair while, without knowing how good it is. It runs some pretty old, but good games including: Far Cry Heroes of the Pacific Test Drive Unlimited (Min Graphics) Counter Strike: Source S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Shadow of Chenobyl (Min Graphics) SWAT 4 GTA San Andreas So yeah, if you guys could help me in understanding how good this is, that would be great. and if its bad, getting a new one. BTW: On my gaming pc i have no internet, so im writing this on the family pc. |

Sounds like you have an older computer with either legacy PCI or AGP. By today's gaming standards, that's a very old, weak card. I would not bother upgrading it till you are ready to enter the PCI-Express world.

Great card back in the day
That is a direct x9 card and was a very nice agp card back in the day 2004 or 2005 I believe. PCI express is the way to go these days, you may want to start saving your money up for a new build if you are not happy with the performance. I wouldn't put any money into the old system. |
