Soundcard questions
I have a SupremeFX II sound card that came with my new Asus motherboard. I am looking for the control panel for the card. I have looked under Programs but there is nothing there under Supreme. I have looked in the Control Panel under Sound and didn't find anything their either. I did a search under "Supreme" and nothing turned up for this sound card. The sound card is working fine.
I just bought some new gaming headsets and the headset manufacturer says I need to find this panel in order to adjust the microphone volume. Where might I try looking for sound control panel for the sound card?..I need to make an adjustment to the microphone level and to the Bass-Treble controls. Thanks

There's nothing in the system tray?

If you are using Vista then you should be able to right-click the volume control in the system tray and choose "recording devices". From there you should see the microphone and be able to adjust the level by clicking "configure" or "properties".

The only thing in my system tray that might be relevant is the speaker icon. When I click on it all that comes up is a single slidebar called "Mixer". I know what you guys are talking about because under XP when I click on the same icon I get a small panel with about 5 slide bars and I think one of them was microphone. I cant seem to bring up that same control panel under Vista. When I do click on the bottom button called mixer I get a second window that comes up called "Volume Mixer" with two slide bars. The two slide bars are labeled "Device-speakers" and "Applications-Windows Sounds" It does not have a slide bar called microphone.
I would imagine there is a slide bar called "microphone" buried away somewhere in Vista. Edit: Found it. Its very well hidden under Control Panel/Sound/Recording Tab/Click on Microphone/Levels tab. Nice try Microsoft, but I unearthed it...five layers deep.

Is the software installed? You got a free sound card with your Mb, right? Did you get a disk for the card? If you only have the mb disk, have you checked it for the software?

No disk came for the sound card. Perhaps the sound card control panel is with the Driver CD that came with the motherboard? I will have to check...thanks!
