Bit of a delima....any thoughts?
I currently have a systen built and ready to go, except for a video card.
I want to use it but told myself I would get a GTX 295 (500$) before I moved forward with the project. I boiggest problem I have is money, at this point I can fork out a couple hundred for a gtx 260 but not 500$ I won't have the money for about a month. So I could get one 260 now and up grade to sli later, or wait. Whats the advantages to a single 295 over 2-260's? See my sig for my pc build. Thanks Adam |

Maybe this article will help:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...card,2404.html Caution - when you start talking multiple high end video cards, power supply certification starts playing a big part. |

Thanks for the help!
I was under the impression that my power supply would be capable of running two gtx 295's. Two gtx 260's for sure. Am I wrong? Dunno |

glc,
I bought this thinking I could. 910W Continuous @ 50C (1000W Peak) NVIDIA SLI Certified (Up To 2 x GTX295) 80+ Silver Certified (88% Efficiency); .99 Active PFC Also the page you referenced was suggested by their reccomendations, not the manufacture's. Not trying to say your wrong, I just need some clarification. I'm not quite understanding the rating by PC power and cooling. |

I don't see a 910 in the cert list - maybe you need to post the exact model?

Strange - that particular PSU is not on the Nvidia-certified list anywhere.
