HDMI the way to go?

If my graphics card has a HDMI port, and so does my monitor, should I be using HDMI over DVI? Will it give me a better picture as far as graphic cards and monitors are concerned? I know HDMI is the way to go on HDTV's, but I'm not sure if the same is true for computers.

Thanks for the help.

As far as video is concerned HDMI and DVI are exactly the same in picture quality.
