32" LCD TV form monitor?

I'm getting a list of material I will need to build a PC, I want to be able to use my 32" LCD TV as a monitor if possible. It has a PC VGA port and a sound port. the TV is an LCDHD 720P.

My question is what type of video card and how powerful do you think I need to be able to play games, read email, surf, and play video with it.

Also i know it should be a different section but what type of CPU?

thank you for any suggestions

If it's only a 720p, the native resolution is 1366x768, and you don't need a particularly powerful card.

Come up with a budget figure, then post in the BYOPC forum.
