Aspect ratio

hi . what is aspect ratio ? and which one should i be using ? thanks

Aspect ratio is the relationship of the size of width of the diiplay to the length of the diplay.
16:9 (reads sixteen by nine) is wide screen
4:3 is full screen
The type of monitor you are using, will determine the resolution settings.

even if i was playing on 1680x1050 ?

i dont always use native resolution to improve frame rate

That's 16:10 and will either be distorted or you will have black bars at the sides of the screen.

If you have 16:9 content running on 16:10 hardware or vice versa and if you have it scaled to fill the whole screen, it's hard to notice the distortion; as long as you're not running 4:3 content on either 16:9 or 16:10 hardware in full screen, it should be fine.

ok am playing Call of Duty: World at War on 1680x1050

it was doing ok on 1920x1080 with around 60+ fps but i wanted more
so i switched to 1680x1050 . the game can be set on auto but i wanted to know
in case if some other games didnt have the auto option .. thanks

ya if you have 9 series nvidia ard then you can play these games... 4 gb ram will be good... i hope this miight have helped you...

yes i had 4 gb of corsair ram but one of them wasnt working and i am not near
an RMA area ... its a long story you can see it here
