Looking to upgrade graphics card
I'm interested in upgrading my graphics card, but I wasn't sure how dual-slot cards worked, so I wanted to make sure before I bought anything.
My current card is an Nvidia 8500 GT so it won't be hard to find a better card, obviously, and I'm willing to spend a pretty good amount. Mobo: ASUS P5QL/EPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131393 and I have a Corsair 650W psu. Given these considerations, (and the fact that I want to stick with Nvidia, being an arbitrary loyalist) what card(s) would be good? |

What is your budget?
A dual slot card will simply make the adjacent slot unusable. You have plenty of slots left. |

I was hoping not to spend much more than 200 USD unless it will make a significantly noticeably performance difference.

Best card in the $200 and under price range is a Radeon 4890 unless you have Win 7 and want to get into DX 11, then there would be a Radeon 5770. However, if you insist on Nvidia, there's the GTX 260 (not as good as a 4890, roughly equal to a 5770 or 4870) or a GTX 275 ($250).
