Do these work together?
The Ati Radeon Hd 5870:
http://www.amd.com/uk/products/deskt...fications.aspx It says the following; PCI Express 2.1 x16 bus interface. The Asus mobo: http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_I...RFZ&templete=2 It says the following; 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (single at x16) 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (@x4 mode, 2.5GT/s) 2 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 (2.5GT/s) 3 x PCI Now to the question. Since the mobo doesn't mention PCI-E 2.1 can it still use it or are these two things not even related. Will the gpu work on the mobo? IF these two don't work together, are there any 1156 mobos that you would recommend with the 5870? |

Thank you for your quick response. So as I have understood, it is kind of like USB 1.0 and 2.0. The 2.0 will work in the 1.0 at a slower speed, but CAN be used faster in a 2.0 port. Would this be about the same?
