Question capture video

does anyone know of a good screen recorder that is somewhat inexpensive? thanks

I assume you're talking about a video capture card. If so, check out the recommendations in this thread.

i was looking more along the lines of software, but that might do the trick. thanks. i just wasn't sure if there was anything like PrintScreen for video

As far as I know you can't record video without using a capture card. Most come with the needed software to record video and take screenshots.

Actually, I think what he wants to do is capture what he's doing on the computer screen (i.e. - moving the mouse around).

In that case, you wouldn't need a capture card, just software. I had a prog I fooled around with a few years ago that did this. Unfortunately, it had several limitations (since it was shareware), but I think it was called hypercam. I'm not sure.

Try www.zdnet.com to search for the program, then with the discrption, search google.

thanks a lot. i had come across that piece of software, and i did like it but it was kind of expensive. i think i am going to get a capture card. thanks for all of the help
