visual difference between ATI and NVIDIA?

im a huge nvidia fan and have been using their products for years...

i really dont remember seeing any other cards perform personally

im running a g4 ti 4200 right now but am planning on getting a ati card with the 9700 pro chipset..

visually can you even tell the difference? i mean i know the games will perform WAY better but overall can you tell the difference watching a 9700 and a nvidia g4 card? itd kinda hard to explain what im trying to say...

It depends on your eyes. But ATi has far better picture quality, making it a must have for the photoshopers and the DVD watchers, and video editors.

nVidia is just raw power.

I have always used nVidia cards, but my next one will be a Radeon.

The overall video quality on the GF4 Ti's is a lot better than Nvidia used to be but I still think ATI has more accurate colors. If you really want accurate colors and a really sharp display you can't beat a Matrox but those are pretty lousy gamers in comparison to Nvidia or ATI.
