NBA 2k3 Graphics Slow Down?

Hi All

I have just got NBA 2k3 on the PC and when I try and play it, it slows down so much and it is like the computer and graphics card cant handle it.

I have a 2.4 Pentium, with the ATI Radeon 9000 Pro (128MB).

Im just trying to download the latest Direct X drivers etc, but the only other thing I can think of is the graphics cards drivers?

I have tried the game on my brothers comp who has a 2.4 with a Geforce 64 mb graphics cards and it works extremely well, just like watching a real game!

I ahve tried to shut down ALL programs etc and also tried the different settings on the game as you are able to change the resolution etc, although even that hasnt helped.

Does anyone think that updating my graphics card drivers will help?

The only real difference is that Im running Windows ME and my brother is running Windows XP.

Any help would be appreciated......

Sorry, I forgot to mention that even the mouse slows down when trying to run the game and is very jumpy and 'sticks'!

Any ideas?

I have a feeling that your graphics settings are all the way up and your GPU cannot handle it, turn them down and see what happens. Especially turn down the resolution, and turn of anti-aliasing if available because that will really hinder performance.
