GF3. Basically, the G4 MX is a G3.
Try seaching the forums for discussions along these lines. I remember seeing many of them if the past few weeks.

Hi Insanepyro69,
There are indeed many posts on the subject. Actually, in terms of shear speed, the GF 4 MX is just barely above the GF 2, and well below the GF 3. But, the MX is not even near as powerful as the GF 3 in other ways, too, as it lacks special features and instruction sets. TwoRails |

The GF4 MX is basically a GF2 glorified. Not good. Stay with your current GF3 and if you upgrade buy an ATi Radeon 9700Pro.
