Question nVIDIA/ATI???

I'm looking at the nVIDIA GEForce 4 MX 440 128 MB DDR video card made by chaintec. I can buy this card for 79.95. Does anyone have an opinion on this card or can suggest another buget card for me? Thanks

Look at the Sapphire OEM RADEON 9100 128MB DDR DVI/TV out BULK on this page: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduc...on=radeon+9100 . It will outperform that Geforce4MX by leaps and bounds. To be honest, that MX isnt much better then the card you have now. You will notice a nice change in games with the 9100. HTH

what are you going to be using the card for, blackhawk? Email? Letters? Gaming? Movie editing?

I just got that very same card the other day and put it in my computer, and I noticed a pretty big increase in quality and performence. My old card was also a GeForce2 64MB APG NVIDIA. I was very happy with it, and I do a little bit of gaming and video editing. The only thing it lacks is software for it to 'tweak' the cards settings, or overclock it, but really you dont need to do that, because the card is better to begin with.

You should be able to the use the Rage3D tweak if you want to tweak/overclock your Radeon. http://www.rage3d.com/r3dtweak/dload/R3Dtweak38b.exe

Geforce's "MX" cards are not really any good for gaming. you'd be better off with an ATI Radeon, 8500LE or newer. some can be found for the same price or cheaper

If you can find Radeonator 2.0 tis a nice little tweak proggie and is free, but I don't have a download link for it.
