MP3 Player
Hi all,
I admit to knowing absolutely nothing about MP3's. A friend of mine was trying to listen to a song in MP3 format on the singer's website. It would play about 11 seconds, stop, start up again in about 20 seconds, and repeat this until the song is over. Her browser is AOL (I know, I know) and she doesn't have an MP3 player. What should she do to play this from the internet? Thanks in advance. |

How does she connect to the internet - dial-up AOL or broadband AOL. Is the song stopping and restarting or just stuttering? If that's the case, it's mostly likely due to the fact that she is being streamed the clip over a 56k connection which is resulting in it constantly being buffered. She might try downloading the clip instead of streaming it to see if that helps. If she's over broadband, then I'm not really sure.

Correct. The best thing to do is right clicking over the link and selecting "Save location as...".
Once it's downloaded she can play it with no interruptions.

Thanks for the replies. It is dial-up and it does keep starting and restarting. I'm pretty sure that it is the buffering that is causing the problem. Nuc, already made that suggestion to her; thanks for confirming that's the right move.
