Soundcard problem, Please help.

Can someone please help me with my sound problem?
I just reformated my hard drive, then upgraded from Windows 95 to 98 and my sound card is not working anymore.
I have no clue what kind of sound card it is or what drivers I need to install it.
On the sound card there are 3 different numbers- "SD-AV510S", "209143101513", "02577832"
The mainboard (mother board) is an i430VX

Can someone please tell me what drivers are needed and where they can be found?
Thanks in advanced.

Hi and welcome to the PC Mech forums!

Try this site:

http://www.soundcard-drivers.com/

Also, look for the FCC Reg. number, that is the way the mfg can be tracked.

How can I tack the manufacturer with those numbers? Which one is the FCC reg. number?

It sez something like this (I am reading this info from a modem I have laying here):

FCC REG. NO: 5RJ TAI-35955-M5-E.

That number is in the back side of the card.

"SD-AV510S PCI", "209143101513", "02577832" were the only things written on the soundcard, none of which come up in the search engines I have tried.
Thanks.

OK.

Try those numbers in www.driverzone.com and see if the site comes up with anything.

That's an Audio Excel AV510 sound card.

I tried that file but when I tried to install it, it said "No PNP. Nothing to do."
What does this mean? How can I get the driver to work?

The driver seemed to work but I still have no sound. The speakers work fine, I tried them with a portable cd player. When I play any sounds I get audio bars in the volume control. I'm usiing CM8338 PCI Playback (E800).
Thanks for listening to my problem once again.
