Soundcard problem, Please help.
Can someone please help me with my sound problem?
I just reformated my hard drive, then upgraded from Windows 95 to 98 and my sound card is not working anymore. I have no clue what kind of sound card it is or what drivers I need to install it. On the sound card there are 3 different numbers- "SD-AV510S", "209143101513", "02577832" The mainboard (mother board) is an i430VX Can someone please tell me what drivers are needed and where they can be found? Thanks in advanced. |

Hi and welcome to the PC Mech forums!
![]() Try this site: http://www.soundcard-drivers.com/ Also, look for the FCC Reg. number, that is the way the mfg can be tracked.

How can I tack the manufacturer with those numbers? Which one is the FCC reg. number?

It sez something like this (I am reading this info from a modem I have laying here):
FCC REG. NO: 5RJ TAI-35955-M5-E. That number is in the back side of the card. |

"SD-AV510S PCI", "209143101513", "02577832" were the only things written on the soundcard, none of which come up in the search engines I have tried.
Thanks. |

That's an Audio Excel AV510 sound card.

I tried that file but when I tried to install it, it said "No PNP. Nothing to do."
What does this mean? How can I get the driver to work? |

The driver seemed to work but I still have no sound. The speakers work fine, I tried them with a portable cd player. When I play any sounds I get audio bars in the volume control. I'm usiing CM8338 PCI Playback (E800).
Thanks for listening to my problem once again. |
