That's all there is to it, but standalone players don't have a very good track record for playing RW disks of either the + or - format, I'd be surprised if you ever get the PS2 to even acknowledge an RW disk's presence.
It should work in the DVD ROM, though. Try erasing the disk and just burning some files onto it with nero (not a movie) and see if it works? |

It's possible that your DVD ROM might not be able to read RW disks either, actually, it might need a firmware update depending on how old it is.
There's a database at http://www.vcdhelp.com Try a non-rewritable disk with your ISO and DVD Decrypter and see if it works then. |

well i did a firmware upgrade on the sony500ul and wrote the same iso file onto it and it worked 1 time out of about 6 in my xbox, still doesnt read in my dell DVD-ROM but plays in the sony500ul. i thought xbox would have read it fine. i need to try some -r(w)'s
did you mean a fireware upgrade on the burner or rom? the dvd-rom that came in my dell looks to be a toshiba dvd-rom sd-c2502 you guys think that, this toshiba cant read dvd+rw's? |
