Sound Blaster Live 5.1 ???????????

I was trying to update my SB Live 5.1 sound card driver, and trying to install, it caused my system to crash.
So I went back to the Creative Support site. There is a link which gives instructions on "How to determine your products model number." So I followed the directions which are:

"SB Live! Identification

Including the Sound Blaster Live!, Value, MP3, Gamer, Platinum, and the 5.1 series.

To identify the model number of this sound card, first shut down the system in order to safely remove the card.
Once the card has been removed from the computer, examine the upper left corner of the component side of the card. This is the location of the model number (CT number). Here you will see the letters "CT" and four digits (e.g. CT-xxxx).
If further identification of the sound card is needed, turn the card over on its back and find the black ink stamp in the upper left-hand region."

Well my card does not have a "CT-xxxx" model #, it has a "SB-0220" model #. And it has the black ink stamp which says "Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Digital." But there is no such part within the Creative website. I have tried to contact Creative support, but no response. Figured I could better help here.
Has anyone else ever encountered this problem???

Hi there,

what OS are you running?

The Live! and the Live! 5.1 are different as the latests one has three jacks for speakers and support for 5.1 speakers.

The Live! 5.1 X-Gamer, MP3+ and Platinum are exactly the same card.

I am running Windows XP. And I figure it has to be a 5.1 because it the card has Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Digital stamped on it. And yes, it has all the jacks for 5.1 speakers and I do have Creative Inspire 5.1 speakers hooked up.
But what I'm trying to do is update my driver, but I can't find my card model #, which is SB-0220, so I can download and install the correct driver. But this SoundBlaster Live 5.1, Model # SB-0220, does not exist in the Creative website, so I can't find the correct driver to install.

ASUS P48XS
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
Windows XP
WD 120 GB
P4 2.4 GHz
SB Live 5.1

I have found out the card I have, model # SB-0220, is an OEM card, and no longer supported by Creative.

If you have XP you don't have to update anything as the card is supported right away.
