9500Pro or 9700PRo?

Hi,

I would like to know if I should save more money to get a 9700pro or a 9500pro will offer me great performances? I will be playing alot of games (doom3?) and I want great performances. my gf2 gts isn't doing the trick anymore (I tried the doom3 alpha and I was getting like 0.5fps, I wasn't able to get a frame every second!! It was terrible!)

Thx

if you wait until the 9800Pro becomes a bit more mainstream in the market, the 9700 will come down

Agreed. That is what I'm doing: waiting.

A non-Pro Radeon 9700 would be a good compromise.
