8X AGP on new video cards....
Shopping for new video cards I noticed that almost all the nVidia cards are now 8X AGP. Can I assume that they will work fine on a board with only 4X AGP? Mine does.

normally 8x agp card work on 4x agp motherboards yes.
agp 2x slots do not fit agp 8x anymore (difference in voltage 1.5 vs 3.0) two weeks ago, i placed a radeon 9500pro 8x in a 4x agp asus mobo (dont know type anymore). its a athlon1200, everthing runs smooth as can be.
