Try downgrading to 16 bit color and see if the problem disappears.

well, I have the latest driver form ATI, and everytime I go into the game it said my card doesnt not support that OpenGL mode.. I tried it on 16 and 32 colors... should i try 256 colors or something? So what am I doing wrong here for it not to support Open GL? thanks!

You made a mistake installing the driver. Here is the procedure I have found to be the simplest and best working for my Radeon 9500 Pro, so it should work for your card as well.
1. Download the latest drivers from ATI 2. Go to "Add/Remove Programs" from Control Panel 3. Remove "ATI Display Driver" and reboot the PC 4. When it reboots, run the install file you downloaded from ATI 5. After it finishes installing, reboot again 6. Adjust any video settings you made need to There is absolutely no need to reboot in Safe Mode at all to do this. I believe that is only necessary if you are removing nVidia drivers and installing an ATI card, or vice versa. But note that when you reboot after uninstalling the display driver, you will have a very low resolution and color settings, but that is only until you reinstall the drivers and reboot.
