Removing sound card drivers

What is the correct way to remove sound card drivers (or any drivers for that matter)?

Remove all software related to the card in the Add/Remove item in the Control Panel.

Then go to the Device Manager, click on the device and hit Del. Turn off the PC and remove the card. That's it.
