Running Windows ME, recently upgraded to WMP 7, Now cannot download or open MPG files, Get 'Data Invalid' Error. Downloaded the codec pack for WMP 9. No luck. Can someone point me in the right direction. Have been all over the net looking for info...found none

Welcome to PCMech, Jerry3902!
![]() Can you perform a full upgrade to WMP 9? You may want to try that. Or, if you can, uninstall the upgrade so you will be left with the verson of WMP that ME comes with. Then try a full upgrade to WMP 9. Btw, in my opinion, WMP 6.4 was the most stable verson. You may want to stick with that, especially if you're running winME.

Open WMP go to View/options/formats and make sure Mpeg is checked and not grayed out.
