avi problem

I got this avi video, and it says its 1hour and 31mins long, in my DivX player, but when Im watching it, it only get to like 5mins into it, then it just stops for no reason, the file size is big too 639mb's so I know there got to be more to it...I have the latest DivX and everthting, it just stops and going back to the beginning for no reason...anyone know how to fix?

Have you tried it in other players? How about WMP or quicktime?

I tried it on WMP, and it played really sketchy, and the audio was like 1 minute ahead of the video, and was constanly skippin scenes...

Hmm... could be that your system isn't up to playing movie files. My 300MHz system did almost the same thing.

Well, it plays the first 5mins of the movie in the DivX PERFECTLY...I dont see why it would just stop...In WMP its etchy, DivX ist fine...Hmmm...Maybe I need some updates in the WMP...Ill give that a try...

It could also be that the file is corrupted. If it was downloaded, it is a strong possibility.

Yeah, I dled it off Kazaa...but wouldnt it tell me if the file was corrupt?
