I have an old tv and dont have an s-video cable output or rca outputs on it. I however, have a dvd player hooked up to the tv and it does have an s-video output in it. My question is, can I hook up my video card to my dvdplayers svideo output and see the video on the tv from the computer?
Thanks for your help, Ron Last edited by bigronstud266; 04-19-2003 at 04:49 AM. |

There's a 99.99999% chance the DVDs S-Video port is an output, not an input. After all there's no way to record anything with a DVD player, and I've never heard of one being used as a passthrough like that.
Your best bet would be to get an S-Video to RCA adapter and just plug your vid card into the TV directly like that. |

If you don't have rca inputs on your TV how are you hooking in the DVD player?? Check on your DVD player, I know mine has video (rca type) Input on the front which I can hook my digital camera and pass thru to the TV..
