Angry Fire help!! (9700 pro)

I just bought a Radeon 9700 Pro.

After about 3 hours, I found info on the web about it not working because of the E7205 chipset im using (Gigabyte 8INXP)

If you know about this problem, should I just bring the 9700 Pro back to Best Buy and get a Geforce4 ti 4200 128MB or is there a better card that works with the e7205 set???

Has there been any fixes to this problem yet?

I've never heard of the problem.
Post a link to where you found the info and I'll check it out.

what's the problem? It obviously works right now, or have you not installed it yet?

Have you tried Gigabyts site...It should be obviously mentioned...

The only board I have heard about having issues with a 9xxx card is the A7N8X...for some reason or another.

The solution to this problem is to disable Fast Writes, or force the card to run at AGP 4x. This is a known glitch in the E7205 chipset, not the mainboard or video card.

I just ordered the Asus P4G8X(E7205), and I make it a point to know about possible conflicts with my new components before I run into them. I also have a 9700 Pro. I found out about it simply by doing a little research on Asusboards.com, and other places. And I've only told it three times, twice to the same person.

Blessed be those who do the research before they buy the parts!
