RAdeon 9800 help on optimizations
Okay I know about the basics (the control panel and updating drivers), but the BIOS is mysterious to me.
I've changed two options even though I'm not sure what they do but after asking a friend who said It wouldn't hurt (he's in the AF). AGP Aperture was set on 64MB so I had to 128MB and then to 256MB. and the Main videon something was on PCI VGA, and I changed that to AGP VGA (manual said if you have a VGA then it's alright) *ASUS A7N8X MOTHERBOARD *WINDOWS XP *512 PC2700 *VISIONTEK RADEON 9800 PRO 128MB DDR |

Not sure exactly what you're asking, but you did OK in both categories. Do you have a specific question, or just asking in general?

Neither one of those settings will affect much - the aperture might, but anything between 64 and 256 should work fine, I usually use 128 or 1/2 the system ram, whichever is less. The AGP/PCI setting really doesn't do anything unless you have 2 video cards, it tells the bios which one to look for first.
