ATI All-in-Wonder vid card ?

Is there a significant reason for upgrading from a AIW 7500 to the new 9700 if your board doesn't support 8x AGP and you don't forsee a mobo upgrade any time soon?

Yes. Native DirectX 9 support.

But only if you are a gamer.

The 9700 has component outputs if you have a TV with component inputs. Therefore the TV-out quality is a bit better.

component is so sweet. I bought a small 20 inch tv just because it had component in. I love that tv so much. Monster inserts some Nitrogen gas into the cable itself.

You can go half the price with an 8500 or 8500DV which don't come with, but support the component out adapter. I currently run the 8500DV and I'm quite happy with it... not ready to splurge $600CDN for the 9700.
