Can I make a 5 speaker surround sound with tow different sets of speakers. I want to combine both. The 1st set has a 1 subwoofer+2 speakers. The other has 2 speakers.

Yes. You can.

I once set up a 4 speaker array with my SB Live! and two sets of elcheapo speakers.

Thanks. I'm going to combine altec lansing asc221 with either my pc speakers/hi fi speakers. The hifi speakers are 1000w p.m.p.o, the pc speakers are 400+ watts. Will the sound be "surround"?

Its hard to say-I have a built in creative sound card on a MSI GNB Max i7205 motherboard. There is no creative logo-but in the preferences-there is the option EAX option-then there is the SPIDF. To connect more speakers-the audio output will change. For two speakers-still the same green output-but for 4 and above, the mic becomes the other output-and the AUX in becomes the output for 6 speakers. In theroy it should work-I will test it in two weeks time. Does it work?
