Yay or Nay to this monitor?
DELL 17" 1600X1200 .25mm FLAT Midnight Gray Monitor
I was going for something real cheap, and since I couldn't find anything that overly impressed me on newegg, I turned to other websites. This monitor looks pretty nice, it's actually a generation older than my current one and is of the same brand. I haven't had any problems with the M782 I own right now, so I figure this one is probably good also. Cheap too. |

I wouldn't say there's anything spectacular about the price, but it should be a good monitor.

That model is a decent monitor, but shipping costs will probably be a killer, Tiger Direct is not known for being a top quality vendor. I'd recommend you look locally for a monitor, or find something on line that offers free shipping. That is a discontinued model and you should be able to find a current model of something that has as good or better specs.
Newegg has the KDS XF-7 for $129, free shipping - and although it's out of stock, the XF-9 for $185, free shipping. |

I think I'll take your advice, glc, and get one at a local best buy or something. It might be cheaper, and there would be no shipping cost.
LOL, just checked shipping... Can't get it under 50 dollars for ground shipping, and 2-day shipping is 100 dollars.

Buy locally.
Regarding monitors it all depends on your own eyes. What looks nice for me may look ugly to you. When buying monitors it's better if you go to the store and see the monitor you plan to buy running before you take it home.

Newegg has free shipping deals, as does Amazon, so I'd check those two first.
If you buy locally you're still paying tax .

Sam's Club has some Samtrons now at a really decent price - those are "budget" Samsungs. I'd be inclined to order one of those KDS's from Newegg myself.
