mic problem
Hello all.... I am having a mic problem. They will not work. I have tried 2 different mics. Both are 5 years old,..could they be shot? Iam plugging into correct hole on onboard sound. My mainboard
is a ASUS P4PE. I have p4 1.8 ghz and 512 meg ram. All other sounds are functional, TV, CD, DVD MP3 etc. Any help here? please advise, thanks, God Bless, Robert |

Gotta ask - is the mic enabled in the mixer and not muted?

I'd advise finding a mic that works on another computer and trying it in yours to see which part is the problem.

Thanks for your replies...
I figured it out!!! I had to go into system audio properties and click "use default audio only" and that seemed to work. However, I don't know what may NOT work by doing this. The mic is now working though. Thanks fopr the help. God Bless, Robert |
