What are some good, but not too expensive wireless setups?

Wireless setups? Havent really seen any that are cheap. I just went with the 5.1 Altec Lansing speakers. They only run about $99 and they are excellent. The only trouble I have had with them is I have a Soundblaster Audigy 5.1 card and the plug wires dont match up. I have to run Creative on 5.1 and my speakers on 4.1 so I get sound from the center channel.

Well, Klipsch has their 5.1's, but last I checked they were pretty expensive. Logitech also has a couple of 5.1 systems.
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?pa...9&languageid=1 You might want to take a closer look at the 640's given their price (although I have not read any reviews about them so I don't know how good they sound). HTH |

Thanks, Floppyman.
Do you happen to know of anything closer to the $50 range? |

Hi,
Does it necessarily have to be a 5.1 setup, or is that just a preference? It might be hard to find a decent 5.1 setup for that price. HTH |

If you can squeeze $20 more, Newegg has the 640s for $67. It is hard to find good 5.1 setups for any less. Check them out here: http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduc...=Logitech+Z640

I don't know, maybe I don't actually need a 5.1 set, now that you mention it. I would only be listening to music, doing some light sound editing and light gaming. No DVDs, since I don't have a DVD drive. What would you suggest? I would still like something with a subwoofer that gives me a nice, full sound and is able to blast me out of my seat.

If that's all you need, a good 2.1 set will do you right - and from what I hear, the Logitechs have the most powerful subs for blowing you out of your seat. Look at the Z-340's.
