I currently have a Geforce 2 mx w/64 mb ram.
Thinking about putting in a Gf4 w/64 mb DDR ram, if only for the TV out. How different is the gf4 from the gf2? Will I notice a big difference? Also, a friend of mine is a steadfast supporter of the ATI Radeon and is trying to get me to buy an ATI Radeon 9000 w/64 or 128 MB DDR Ram over the Gf4. Is he crazy? |

It depends. Are you planning on going with a Geforce 4MX or a regular Geforce 4 (i.e. Ti 4200, 4400, etc.)? HTH

I'll take a 9000 over a MX but not a Ti.

How about choosing between a Radeon 8500LE and a GF3 Ti 200, which is better?

I go with the Radeon there.
The Radeon 8500 *retail* (LE is a slower version I think) is essentially the same performance wise as a GF4 Ti 4200. The 9000 is about the same card that the 8500 was, speed wise. The LE should outperform a Ti 200, however. |

Now I have a GF2Ti VO 64mb ddr. When I played N.O.L.F. spy in harms way on max graphics settings The game was jaggy. Now I would like to upgrade the card/overclock it. which is better? If I get the card-I think around october-still long time-but by the time the prices will drop so then I will get one. I have been to nvdia's website-saw this nforce 3-Is it that good? Which is better? ATI or Nvdia? Then which is better for each series. My motherboard msi gnb max(granite bay) supports 8x agp. But I have been to a couple of tech sites, they say that 8x is just a slight improvement or not noticible at all compared to 4x. Is this true?
Also what card should I get if I want to record from the TV to the pc?and save it in mpeg form. VIVO
