Nice,Cheap Speakers?

ok i'm looking to upgrade to theatre quality speakers in the future, but for now i just want something cheap so i can actually afford to purchase the rest of my parts. i want something with some punch that i can crank up a little. classic counter-strike and some DVD action. any recommendations?

I am doing the same thing waffle I want to save up for some Klipsch 5.1's but for now I just got a set of the Altec Lansing 2 piece speakers for $35 bucks and they are great sounding not much base but the money saved should get me a sub that pounds later Check out these Altec Lansings they are nice and only $38 http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage....113-132-01.jpg

For like 5$ more you can get Creative 4.1 speakers.

I have a five piece set of Altec Lansing speakers with a powered sub. I've put them through the wringer with games and music over the past four years and they still put out great sound.

You could get a set for $70-$80 bucks and be pleased enough with them that you might not be concerned with upgrading for quite a while.

I don't think you can go wrong with the brand at any rate...

I just bought the Logitech Z-340 2.1 speaker set. They're really sweet!
