GeForce 4 Mx 440 causes AcdSee crash!

Bought a dual head GeForce4 Mx440 se. It worked great on both monitors but everytime I'd use my picture viewer--AcdSee-- it would crash the program (stack problem in nvdia....blah, blah, blah). I updated the video drivers with no luck. I uninstalled and reinstalled AcdSee also with no change. I'm using an older version of AcdSee because it's totally free and have no intention of upgrading (use psp 7 for most serious editing work). Any suggestions? The card is made by Evga.

I've since unnstalled the card and am back using individual cards for my multi monitor setup.

TIA!

I know this isn't an elegant solution, but have you tried using something else for viewing - like Irfanview?

Hi GLC, yes I have...didn't care for it. AcdSee is my viewer of preference.

Its very possible that the version of ACD that you are using has compatibility issues with the version of Nvidia drivers that you are using, or even the card chipset itself.

Very unusual. I have heard graphic cards causes video editing software, games, photoshop to crash. Not ACDsee. Try reinstalling the software?

I reinstalled the sw with no change. I'm thinking of trying an older driver for the card (if I can find one).
