Question AGP 8X and 4X

Is the increase in performance noticeable between the two?

If I get a Radeon 9700Pro which supports AGP 8X, should I also upgrade my mobo which only supports 4X?

Ok, in a 4x board, 10400 3dmark. In a 8x mobo, same parts, 11500. As you can guess, the vid card was 8x.

Most hardware reviews I've read say it will be 6 months to a year before we see games that will benefit from 8x AGP's bandwidth.
