Recording Problem

I'm trying to do some recording on my new pc with my guitar. I have cool edit pro 2 and when i record there is a tick, about every 10th sec or so, i have a asrock mobo and it has onboard 5.1 audio. ANy idea what cause it to tick? thanks for any replys.

Hi Lespaul20,

Not sure about the Pro version, but with the regular version, noises are inserted into the track when you use a feature / plug-in that it not regestered / paid for. Since plug-ins are full featured (not crippled, other than inserting noise), it's their way to get you to register it.
