AIW 9800 Pro this spring

Hi Everybody,

I remember reading a thread a while back wondering if a AIW 9800 pro will be released. I just read a magazine article saying it is due to be released this spring for $449 US

Would be nice!! But probably not.

It would be nice if it dropped the prices on the AIW 9700 Pro! I need a new card and am wanting to switch to ATI, having been an nVidia fan for so long. Heck, I feel kinda silly having an old Stealth II in a spare-parts build that has an 1800+ on a A7V333 mobo! I'd like to put my current card (an Asus GF 3 VIVO) in there and something new in this box.

I hear ya! I'm in no "real" hurry, other than I want / need a vid card for my main spare build. My current GF 3 is doing well (until DOOM III comes out) but I don't want to just get a cheapo card for the other box, I would rather "upgrade" this box . Ya!! LOL

The gf3 will do great in the spare box. I too am waiting for 9700s to drop below 200.
