I got a new video card yesterday, and i need to know how to disable the onboard vidoe on my hp pavilion 6343. I think there might be a jumper on my motherboard somewhere, but i cant find it.

Try getting into the BIOS by hitting either F2 or DEL while the pc is booting but before the Windows splash screen. In the BIOS, hunt around for an option that says something like Onboard VGA, Integrated Video, or something to that effect. Set it to disabled, then save the changes and exit. That should take care of it unless there is indeed an external jumper.

Change your display to Standard VGA, uninstall the SiS video drivers if they show up in add/remove programs, disable the standard VGA display adapter in device manager, shut down, put the card in, reboot, and install the card drivers.
