Boom LCD Monitor trouble

Okay I've really tried to fix this problem on my own....but with no luck at all. I have an AmTran LCD monitor RX174T...it's a 17.4" (but that really doesn't matter.) Anywho, the problem is that everytime I turn my PC on the monitor appears to have heavy static running through the screen, making it almost impossible to use. After leaving the monitor on for a while this goes away slowly, but never all the way. I have messed with the refresh rates, but the problem never completely goes away. I either have to put up with bars traveling verticle on the screen, or at higher resolutions it's like a funky wave effect traveling verticle. I have tried changing the video cable going from the PC to the monitor...no change. I have tried swapping out video cards...still nothing. The image is also much darker than it should be, and makes playing games on the system almost impossible. Now the really weird thing is that none of these effects show up on the monitors OSD, which I just don't understand. If anyone has any clue as to what I could try next please reply....I do plan on trying the monitor on another PC, but haven't gotten a chance to yet. Thank you in advance.

Yes, definitely try the monitor on another PC. Also, consider the monitor's location. Are there any florescent lights near by that could be causing the interferance? If it's feasable, you might try moving the computer system to a different room or location in the room to see if the interferance gets better/worse.

Yes I thought about that idea of moving the system...and actually I just recently moved to a new house, and it was doing this at my old place too...so that rules out that theory I'm afraid.

If it is still under waranty, I would RMA it.

It sounds as tho' some of the internal circuitry has gone.
