Which video card to get for notebook???

I'm looking for a video card for my Compaq 1800T notebook that supports video out to tv. Basically all I want is to be able to watch movies that are on my hard drive through my tv. I know the ATI Radeon 9000 or similar works for desktops, but will they work for my computer? If not, which cards are compatible with my computer? Thanks

For a notebook PC? I don't think you can change out the current video because it's built into the motherboard. And I've never seen a notebook video card for sale either.

Second that... the only thing I've ever seen for a notebook is a RAM upgrade or a TV Tuner VIA USB.

Looks to me like that notebook has a video output jack of some sort. Check your manual. I see it called "TV-out" in one place, "S-Video" in another place. If it's S-Video, it looks like a PS/2 port, if it's a composite out, it will be a RCA jack.

If you have either one of those jacks, you can do it. Again, refer to your manual.
