Does anyone know what the cable is called that goes from a 7-pin mini-DIN connector to RCA's for the TV? I'm trying to hook up my laptop to display on the TV. It's a Dell Inspiron 1100. Thanks.

Definately sounds like the "MiniDin" U R referring to is 'S-VIDEO' and of course the other end that is usually yellow and just has 1 RCA type is composite video...If U have the 3 colored RCA inputs on your TV, then that is 'COMPONENT' video input and is higher quality, but I don't think you can just convert with a cable from S-Video to Component input, but there are S-video to composite cables out there, I don't know how good the picture will be, I have heard it's not that great, especially if U R talking about S-Video out of your PC and going into your TV that way...

The quality isn't too bad if you're just trying to play video out to the TV but it'll reduce your desktop visibility (especially small fonts).
