differences between audigy and audigy 2?

what is the difference, i spose seeing as audigy 2 is newer it will have more features or something, but will i miss them?

the main reason im getting an audigy is for the EAX and advanced EAX HD that all games come with now, my sound card just doesnt like it one bit and i cant put up with the sound anymore

so would i really need the more expensive audigy 2 or will i get on fine with the audigy?

cheers

i would say not that much improvement over the first one. it added 6.1 support. and a few other bells. if you plan on upgrading your speakers go for audigy 2. otherwise the first one will do just fine

One of the main differences is the quality of the sound being recorded. The output quality is about the same. So, if you plan on doing a lot of quality recording, then the Audigy 2 would be good. If you are just recording causually, then the Audigy 1 is still much better than the Live! card.
