Dual Monitors

How do you use dual monitors, does anyone have any pics of what it looks like, or how you set them up. How do you go from one monitor to the other? I just need some information!

it depends somewhat on what video card you are using, the way I have mine setup is dual display from my radeon with two LCDs where I can use one screen as my main with the taskbar and icons and the other one I can use for applications or whatever winamp, etc. you can move the mouse over to either side and apps and windows can move too. there are some other options as far as how the other display is used I'm sure someone will explain

How do you move the mouse from monitor to monitor? Could I be playing counterstrike on one monitor and surf the web on the other?

Just like TechSupport420 I also have a dual LCD screen setup. If you would like me to I can post a shot of my desktop to help give you guys an idea of what it looks like. Yes, you just move the mouse over from one monitor to the other. From my experience it usually is not possible to play a game and surf on the other screen-- the mouse won't move over. You could, however, watch a movie on one screen and surf the net on the other. That's just one example though, there are other possibilities too. HTH

I assume there is some command to toggle the program from one monitor to another. I hope you don't have to set it up in the menus which monitor you want the program to start up. I would like to be able to surf the net or do work on one monitor while setting up all my chats in the other.

Depending on the software that comes with your videocard you might actually to be able to set programs up to launch in the other screen instead of the main screen. Working on one one screen and having chat windows in the other is definitely possible-- that's how I usually have mine setup. HTH

I think floppyman has already stated that it is ot practical to use the mouse during a game and surf on the other. The movement of the mouse is restricted to the width of the game screen therefore eliminating the ability to move from one screen to the other. Besides how are you going to surf while playing CS? The power used would probaby take away some speed in your game anyways. We all know that in some of these games you need every bit of edge you can get
