XP Video install

Is it necessary to turn off my old video card in Bios before installing my new card in Windows XP Professional. I normally would but reading the instructions that came with the card I see no mention of bios all it says is to take the old one out and install the new one. The video card is a Gainward GeForce 4 Ultra/650-8X 128 DDR.

Thanks for your help
Adam

Need to know what motherboard you have.
Some need it turned off in BIOS, some do not.
Read the motherboard manual.
