cant identify my video card or find drivers!

I recently aquired a used video capture card. I can contact the previous owner. The card was in a Gateway PC from '98.

It is a PCI capture only card, got composite video, S-video, 1/8 audio, and rf(I think, what you use to get cable TV...) inputs(suprising thing is that it has a CD-rom style connector on the PCB(inside the PC). about the only identifying marks I can find are the chip - BT848KPF, there is nothing else on the PCB(except a sticker, but I have not yet identified a part by a number off a sticker).

I have a copy of the Gateway restore CD, but windows didn't find all the needed drivers on the gateway restore CD. I think part of the video capture card might be there.

I didn't see any software for video capturing on the gateway CD(I hope to use the software/drivers that came with the card as I'm told the software is no longer in use).

Any sggestions? Is the chip that card has good/bad/?

TIA, L J

Do a google search for Brooktree video drivers, you should be able to find the correct ones. If not you can do a search for the chipset driver
