Question Tweaking for Best 3dmark score

I have a Powercolor 9700 Pro. I was wondering what settings I can adjust, without overclocking, to get the best possible 3dmark scores. I currently get around 10,900 in '01 and 4340 in '03, at stock settings. I was hoping I could get another 1000 or so in 01. TIA.

If you're only concerned about the numbers, and not real world performance, here's a good method; overclock your system, leaving the side panels open, and a large house fan blowing through the case.

I dont really want to overclock. I was looking for things I could tweak like memory settings. Does anyone know of any good guides for this? I want the best performance as well, not just numbers. I just want to be sure the card is running at peak efficiency.

In d3d properties, set mipmapping to performance, same for texture and the slider on top. 3dmark is d3d only, the dogs.....

Thanks all, I downloaded Rage3d Tweak, and under Direct3d, I set Mipmap Detail Level and Texture Preference to Performance. I ran 3dMark01 again, and my score was the same, 10,900. Any other settings to try?

u can try defraging your hdd, then turn virtual memory off (just for the test, need to reboot first) put refresh rate at 60, and shut off every other program u can before running the test. I'm kind of at the same point, I scored a 9908 in 3dmark2001 and I've done everything I can think of to boost the score over 10k (aside from overclocking) but I cant get it to go over. now I know I could overclock the card and for sure do it, or even my cpu and or memory, anyone of those overclocked would push me over 10k, but I wanted to hit it using default settings all the way around. less then 100 marks away you can see why this may erk me more then just a little.
