Dots around mouse pointer
HEllo all,
I am just finished building my new comp and I also installed win xp pro. I am using a chaintech Nvidia Geoforc4 TI 4600 128 DDR AGP 4x. I have updated my bios and installed the latest drives from Nvidia webpage also. I am noticing a problem with my mouse pointer it is showing little dots around it and I am wondering what is causing this. Any help will be greatly apprecaited. Thank you Jsonpa |

Check the refresh rates on the monitor or click on mouse properties in control panel.

Yes XP installs DirectX already. Try checking the mouse properties. Go to Control Panel and choose Printers and other hardware. It might be the refresh rate of the monitor also.

Ok I checked the display refresh settings and it is set to 85 hertz same as the the Video Card. The dots went away for a second yay but now it is starting a new trick. The display is all garbles up and makes the the windows show no text or anything. Or the window is just white. This is driving me crazy. I updated the graphic divers and bios. Anything else that it can be

Well i haven't overclock the card at all and do not plan on doing it. I have this problem right from the begining when computer boots up. I have pretty good air flow and a fan blowing directly on the video card so I do not think heat is the problem. How do I check to see if the the card is overclocked just to make sure. I bought a cheap video card to make sure the problem is with the video card and it was the display is perfect.
