Media Player 9, Codec Problems?

Hi All

I have Windows XP with Media Player 9. I have been sent a small movie from a friend and everytime I go to play it, WMP searches for the codec and just plays the sound and no picture.

I have tried to install the following (With no Luck!):-

Nimo Version 8 and 9 Beta,
DivX Codec and player,
Microsoft Codecs,
Core Player (Cant remember the full name).

When I installed the Nimo codec (was already installed from previously), i noticed that the video started to play, but you could not see the video at all, the screen was green and there were a few (6 or so) little parts on the screen where the movie was playing, this was the closest I got to playing the movie.

Any ideas would be appreciated, I am assuming that there is a problem with the codec, I have tried removing Nimo and trying that, but no luck.

Thanks

Karl
