Unhappy Weak sound

Hi! I have been using the onboard sound on the k7s5a motherboard and got decent sound from my pc speakers and when I got a new set of Koss titatinium monitor headphones the sound has gotten very weak and has hardly any bass to the sound. Is there any way I can fix this or is there any software that I can fix it with? Thanks for your time!

Have you went to your sound panel and raised the volume or the microphone volume.

maybe the monitor headphones are not in correctly? You put it in the wrong port (spk out instead of line out). Maybe you need amplified speaker with their own volume knob.

I looked at the onboard sound and there is no line out, there is just a speaker out line in and a mic in. I here my problem might have something to do with 3d sound output. I wonder if the sound (AC 97 codec) on my mb is capable of 3d sound output and how to configure it. Thanks for your time. Any other suggestions just post. Thanks again

try double clicking the volume icon in the system tray, goto options and properties and see if you can enable 3d audio. If still no go, try updating or reinstalling your sound drivers.
