Directx 9.0

Is getting a card that supports 9.0 worth it? I need a video card and I'm looking at Nvidia based cards and am dissapointed to say that the FX cards are garbage. The Geforce TI cards have good power and was wondering what the best one is?

Gf4ti cards are dx8 hardware, the fx series does dx9. I will only consider the 5900 to be worthy.
The fastest of the gf4ti cards will be the gf4ti4600.

I've read some reviews that warned that some of the lower end DX9 compatible video cards will not be fast enough to actually run DX 9 games at a good resolution.

Is it worth it? depends on how soon you plan to upgrade again because DX 9 games won't be common for a year or so.
